Best Companion Artifact Award at ACSOS 2026

We are thrilled to announce that our paper, “Multi-Target Tracking via Field-Based Distributed Particle Filtering”, received the Best Companion Artifact Award at ACSOS 2026!

This award is given to authors of an accepted main-track paper who also submitted a reproducible artifact of their experiments — recognising both the scientific contribution and the commitment to open, reproducible research.

In this work, we address the problem of tracking multiple moving targets in a distributed setting, proposing a field-based approach to distributed particle filtering grounded in aggregate computing. The result is a fully decentralised algorithm where devices collectively maintain probabilistic estimates of target positions, without any central coordinator.
